Microbe Art Exploration
What is a microbe?
Have you ever wanted to be closer to a petal? See what’s hiding between the veins of the leaf? Have you ever wanted to notice something so small?
During this art experience, we will learn about and explore a variety of different microbes found on the farm (like bird bath water, flower petals, & leaves). Using everyday materials, we will imagine our own microbes. What do they feel like? What materials might they be? How do they make us feel?
We will also gather around a blank space to uncover and create our own community microbe. What do we notice when we’re together?
Recommended for ages 6-10 with at least one grownup in attendance. (Grownups, please only “purchase tickets” for children attending.)
Date, time, & place: June 28, 2025 | 10am - 12pm | Burkett Farm: 1800 Westhaven Drive Raleigh, NC, 27607
Ticket price: a suggested $10 donation to Wake County Boys and Girls Club.
